Honda: talks started for Button’s new contract

According to reports, talks between Honda Racing and Jenson Button would have started for the Briton’s contract renewal at the Monaco paddock. But The Times newspaper, despite Button’s statements earlier this month where he assured that he will keep racing for the Brackley based team, claims that the Briton could leave Honda in order to “chase his dream of winning the drivers’ world championship”.

“We are investing huge amounts in our factory, in our manpower and our resources, all geared to have a world championship-winning driver. Jenson has seen what we are doing and he is very impressed and excited by it,” said Honda Racing CEO Nick Fry.
